Connecting to the supernatural

1 Kings 17:14-16 reads: “For thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.’

Supernatural provision

This is divine provision from the Spirit of God.

The widow of Zarephath 1 Kings 17:14-16 reads: “For thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.’

So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.”

The woman of Zarephath experienced miraculous (supernatural) provisions from God.

The feeding of 5 000 men by Jesus Christ Mark 6:38-44 reads: “But He said to them, ‘How many loaves do you have? Go and see.’ And when they found out they said: ‘Five, and two fish’. Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass.

So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

So they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.”

Five thousand men were fed that day from that miracle.(Excluding women and children). Supernatural atmospheres This is an atmosphere that is supercharged with the presence of supernatural beings.

The birth of Jesus Christ Luke 2:9, 13-14 reads: “And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!’”

In such an atmosphere, miracles, signs and wonders are bound to take place. Notice the three things in that atmosphere — praise, worship and prophetic words.

Isaiah’s encounter with angelic beings Isaiah 6:1-6 reads: “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

And one cried to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!’ And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of Him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

So I said: ‘Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts.’ Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.

Isaiah was coming from a funeral service of his first cousin King Uzziah and he encountered the supernatural of God.

Supernatural connections This is when God links up the souls of two individuals in a supernatural way. This often results in father-son relationship, or mother daughter spiritual relationship:

Moses and Joshua,

Elijah and Elisha,

David and Jonathan,

Paul and Timothy,

Lois and Timothy,

Naomi & Ruth.

A strong spirit of sonship is birthed.

Supernatural prosperity

This is when one’s prosperity is attributed to divine power.

There is such a prosperity that has little to do with the wisdom of man nor application of human effort.

Obed-Edom 1 Chronicles 13:13-14, 13 says: “So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.”

Because of God’s visitation for three months in the form of an ark, God blessedObed-Edom and all that he had.

Powers of darkness The devil prospers his servants at a high cost for doing his bidding.

Acts 16:16 reads: “Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. This lady was possessed with a spirit of divination and the Bible says she brought her masters much gain by divining.

The sacrifices made for the devil are revolting: Sacrificing children,

Abuse of infants,

Incest,

Drinking blood, etc . . .

Believers are encouraged to stay away from such sources of power.

Supernatural encounters This is when one meets with a heavenly being. A supernatural encounter is often destiny changing, destiny defining moment.

Saul/Paul on the road to Damascus Acts 26:12 to 14 reads: “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me.

And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads’.

This experience changed the life of Saul to Paul.

Apostle John on the Patmos island Revelation 1:12 to 18 reads: “Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands and in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow and His eyes like a flame of fire.

“His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace and His voice as the sound of many waters. He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him,

“I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me: ‘Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

This encounter with Jesus at Patmos Island prison changed Apostle John’s life.
