Clifford Makamba appeared before Western Commonage provincial magistrate Willard Mafios Moyo and pleaded guilty to all three counts.

He was remanded in custody to February 18.

“I admit to the charges levelled against me, your worship,” Makamba said.

On the first count, Makamba went to Mqondisi Ndlovu’s house at around 11pm and found him sitting with his brothers outside the house.

He accused Ndlovu of stealing his mobile phone and a fight broke out.

Makamba stabbed Ndlovu three times; once in the stomach, once in the buttocks and once in the head.

He was rushed to Mpilo Central  Hospital where he was admitted for 12 days while Makamba went on the run.

On the second count, Makamba was drinking at Mtamba Sports Bar in Pumula with some friends when he stole a mobile phone from his drunk friend Innocent Ncube.

Makamba sold the phone to a neighbour, who later received a phone call from the police ordering him to surrender the stolen phone and he complied.

On the third count, Makamba met Patience Sithole and proposed love to her, but was spurned.

He went berserk and struck her twice on the head with a brick causing a deep gush and fled.

Police launched a manhunt for him and apprehended him last week at Mtamba Sports Bar.
