Moyo told Southern Eye Lifestyle that all were welcome at his first-ever show.

“This is an open show to everyone and it is my first public solo performance in Zimbabwe,” said Moyo.

“It will be my first show performing with fellow local artistes. It’s a family type of concert and people should expect mellow music from my solo albums,” he said.

The show will feature Bulawayo’s percussionist Bruno Ashely, guitarists Hudson Simbarashe and Nobuntu’s vocalist Duduzile Sibanda.

Moyo, an Insingizi vocalist, songwriter and producer, established 10th District Music in 2006, a music production house/record label that operates a recording studio which produces, promotes and conceptualises new ideas and approaches in promoting and showcasing Zimbabwean music, African cultural heritage and talent from the grassroots level to local and international audience.

Moyo has recorded and produced artistes such as Nobuntu, Jeys Marabini, Blessing Nqo Nkomo, Vusa Mkhaya, Iyasa and Pascal Lopongo, among others.

He has arranged European tours for Nobuntu, Jeys Marabini and Tshwalabenyoni.

Moyo started his music career in 1990 with Insingizi and has toured Europe, Canada and the United States with the group.

In 2001, he released his first solo album called Izambulelo which sold a few thousand copies under the United Kingdom-based world music label ARC Music.
