EIGHT beach volleyball players will represent the country in the All-Africa Games qualifiers for Region 5 to be held in Mozambique from April 17 to 19.

Zimbabwe Volleyball Association (ZVA) secretary-general Ringisai Mapondera said they have set their sights on earning a qualifying ticket for the All-Africa Games to be held in Congo Brazzaville from September 4 to 19.
“We are sending a team of four men and four women which will leave the country on April 15 to take part in the All Africa Games qualifiers.
“They will compete with players from our region with countries like Botswana, Namibia and the host Mozambique who have confirmed participation.
“We aim to qualify as we have a strong team and we hope they will be successful,” Mapondera said.
The team comprises of Nyashadzashe Takawira, Keith Machakaire, Rufaro Douglas Choto and Simbarashe Chidziwa in the men’s category.
The women’s section players are Viola Muchaona, Media Mafuta, Progress Gasa and Tsungirirai Taderera.
