BULAWAYO-BASED traditional healer David Muhabhinyane Ngwenya yesterday said erratic rainfall patterns and unfriendly weather changes, currently being experienced throughout Zimbabwe and southern African region, were caused by God’s anger over heinous acts committed by humankind.

Ngwenya, who claims to be leader of the International Traditional Healers’ Association, said the dry spell would only end if churches and traditional leaders have joined hands in conducting rain-making ceremonies.
“The continuous dry spell and destruction caused by rains when they come are signs that God is not happy about heartlessness that is prevailing in the country. These heartless things done by some people angers God very much,” Ngwenya said, who could not be drawn into specifying those acts. “This now needs leaders to come together and appears the spirits.”
