FOOD manufacturing giant National Foods Holdings Limited emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 2026 Zim Brands Awards after several of its flagship products secured top honours in a nationwide consumer survey conducted by an independent research firm.

The awards, hosted by Buy Zimbabwe on May 22, recognised brands that Zimbabwean consumers rated most highly across key product categories.

National Foods was named first runner-up in the Most Preferred FMCG Brand category, underscoring the company’s strong market presence in Zimbabwe’s fast-moving consumer goods sector.

Its baking products brand, Gloria, won the Leading Baking Products Brands Award, while Pearlenta scooped the top prize in the Leading Mealie Meal Brands category.

Another National Foods product, Red Seal, was named first runner-up in the same category, highlighting the group’s dominance in Zimbabwe’s staple foods market.

The company also secured first runner-up positions in several other categories, including Leading Animal Feeds Brands through NF Stockfeeds, Leading Snacks Brands through King Kurls and Leading Cereals Brands via Nutri Active.

“National Foods are honoured and humbled that the Zimbabwe market and consumers have continued confidence in our products,” the company said in a statement after the awards ceremony.

The latest recognition comes as National Foods continues to consolidate its position as one of the country’s largest food producers, with operations spanning flour milling, stockfeeds, snacks, breakfast cereals and maize products.

The company has, in recent years, invested heavily in product diversification and capacity expansion to respond to changing consumer demand and increasing competition in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

The awards, according to Buy Zimbabwe, are intended to recognise brands that have built strong consumer trust and market loyalty.
