
SIXTEEN-year-old Mandisa Mdluli has been crowned as the new Face of Bulawayo.
The pageant took place last Sunday at the Bulawayo Theatre.
Mdluli is a student at Tennyson Hlabangana High School in Bulawayo.
She battled against 13 other beauties.
“As the new face of Bulawayo l am motivated to use this platform in a good way and continue with my advocacy,” she said.
“I am grateful for the support l got from my school and family.
“I will partner up with breast cancer organisations and make sure that the whole of Bulawayo is familiar with how we as a city can fight it.”

She was visibly still overwhelmed with emotions of joy.
“As I stood on that stage, hearing my name announced as the winner of Face of Bulawayo, I felt an overwhelming rush of emotions,” she said.
“As the confetti fell and the cheers echoed, I felt a sense of responsibility wash over me.
“I knew that I would be a role model for many young people, especially those from my city.
“I am ready to use my platform to make a positive impact, to inspire and empower others to chase their dreams.”
She added: “The feeling of being was surreal, like a dream come true.
“I am ready to take on new challenges, to learn and grow, and to make a difference in my community.”
