A Harare-based traditional healer, Gogo Chihoro, renowned for her supernatural powers, is attracting thousands of people to her weekly Saturday sessions in Bulawayo, offering hope and solutions for everything from crime to chronic illness.

Gogo Chihoro began holding consultations at Woodville Park at the start of November last year.

Each week, clients travel from across the region, including Nkayi, Tsholotsho, Hwange, Victoria Falls, and Gwanda, seeking her unique assistance.

In an interview, Gogo Chihoro explained that her work is driven by a mission to create a safer, better society.

“Our mission as sangomas is to contribute to shaping a better society by ending crime,” she told Southern Eye.

“Unlike other sangomas who use goblins, muthi and other forms of divination, I use my spiritual abilities to track down and apprehend thieves. Those I catch will never steal again.”

Gogo Chihoro also stated that she helps people remove bad spells, boost their businesses and marriages, and ensure they get their lives back on track.

The growing crowds are fueled by numerous testimonies from clients who claim to have experienced remarkable results.

A client from Tsholotsho reported recovering stolen property after Gogo Chihoro sent bees to the culprit.

“The bees went straight to my cousin, who then confessed to the theft. I got my property back,” the client said.

Another Bulawayo resident, plagued by strange nightly noises and kitchen disturbances, found peace after consulting Gogo Chihoro.

“The next morning, a naked woman came into my yard and began apologizing for the havoc she had caused, confessing that my jealous aunt had sent her.”

Another client said: “I acquired a mining claim three years ago and invested heavily, but nothing was working out.

"After consulting Gogo Chihoro and following her instructions, the mine came back to life—we are now making real money.”

One woman shared a story of medical despair turned to relief.

After being diagnosed with cancer in her leg and losing her job, she found no success with doctors or other healers.

“I went to her, and now I am fully healed and living a normal life again.”

A Bulawayo businesswoman whose boutique was failing sought Gogo Chihoro's help.

“She gave me some herbs to bathe with and told me I would soon see the person who had bewitched me,” she explained.

“Indeed, a woman later came to my shop acting strangely and confessed. Since then, my shop is thriving again.”

Her spokesperson said "for those wishing to make an appointment, Gogo Chihoro can be contacted via phone or WhatsApp Contacts: 0714 204 235, 0781 150 770, or 0777 934 542."
