PREPARATIONS for this year’s Zanu PF annual people's conference to be hosted by Manicaland province are at an advanced stage with the provincial party leadership recommending potential venues for consideration at the national headquarters in Harare.
The annual people’s conference will be held at the end of October this year. Dates for the conference are yet to be confirmed.
In an interview yesterday, Zanu PF Manicaland province chairperson Tawanda Mukodza confirmed the development.
“Our preparations for the annual people’s conference are now at an advanced stage,” he said.
“We met at a provincial co-ordination committee meeting recently, where we scrutinised venues and gave them to the national leadership, which will have a final say on the venue.
“As a province, we only recommended, but as you might be aware, October is around the corner and we have already started preparations on logistics and other issues.”
However, it has emerged that the resort town of Nyanga is topping the list for this year’s venue.
Meanwhile, the Zanu PF provincial leadership in Manicaland youth is conducting inter-district meetings in the province to discuss various issues.
