A 23-year-old man from Bulawayo is facing murder charges after he allegedly stabbed a fellow imbiber at a city nightclub following a misunderstanding.
Sikhethabahle Moyo from Njube was not asked to plead to murder when he appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Mark Dzira.
He was remanded in custody to August 8 and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
The court was told that on July 27, Moyo was at Marisha nightclub when he allegedly stabbed Innocent Dube once in the stomach with an unknown object.
He was refrained from further stabbing Dube by other patrons.
The court heard that the two had a misunderstanding over an explained matter.
A police report was made leading to Moyo’s arrest.
