THREE Fairview Farm (Mbokodo) workers were sentenced to perform 420 hours each of community service when they appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing an assault charge.
Xolisani Bhebhe (20) Luckson Sibanda (19) and Lucky Ngwenya (21), all from Fairview, were ordered to do community service at Fairview Primary School starting yesterday.
The court heard that the three and the complainant, Nqabutho Ndlovu, are employees at Fairview Farm (Mbokodo) in Figtree.
It was the State’s case that on September 8 this year, the workers were at their workplace, where a misunderstanding arose among them resulting in the trio assaulting Ndlovu.
The court was told that the matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the trio and Ndlovu was referred to Mpilo Central Hospital for medical examination.
