
A MAN from Bulawayo was hauled before the courts for allegedly raping a juvenile whom he saw crying and took her to his house where he gave her alcohol and abused her.
Sandile Ncube (37) appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Mark Dzira facing a charge of rape.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody to October 3.
The juvenile resides in Nketa 8 and is not related to Ncube.
The court was told that on July 21, Ncube met the juvenile who was crying near Nketa 6 and asked her to accompany him to his place.
On arrival at his house in Nketa 7, he allegedly gave the juvenile alcohol to drink before raping her.
The girl’s grandparents reported her missing and when she returned home, she disclosed the rape.
She was taken to the police station, where a report was made.
