The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates court where the 37 year-old Simangele Ncube appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
A WOMAN from Plumtree is facing murder charges after she allegedly assaulted her three-year-old daughter to death.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates court where the 37 year-old Simangele Ncube appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
She was remanded in custody until November 21.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi alleged that on September 2, Ncube assaulted the now deceased Easy Mpande on the head with a plastic dish after she defecated on herself.
The following day, she also assaulted her all over the body with an electric cable and Mpande died on the spot.
Neighbours effected citizens’ arrest on Ncube and took her to the police station.
