Mudenda flexes muscles

ZANU PF Secretary for Administration, Jacob Mudenda

ZANU PF Secretary for Administration, Jacob Mudenda, has again asserted his authority within the party and Parliament, recently reprimanding both government ministers and party officials.

His latest action was a directive to Matabeleland North central committee member and war veteran, Happiness Sibanda, ordering her to immediately hand over her additional role as Zanu PF Umguza district doordinator to Paul Mthimkhulu.

In a letter dated November 11, Mudenda stated that Sibanda cannot simultaneously hold a salaried position on the central committee and a provincial administrative role.

The letter, copied to Matabeleland North provincial chairman Richard Moyo and the provincial secretary for administration, cited a breach of “administration ethics” as the reason for the directive.

“This letter serves to notify you that, in accordance with the administration protocol, you cannot be a central committee member earning some salary and simultaneously stoop below to serve as district coordinator,” the letter read.

“Please hand over all office administrative assets to Mthimkhulu with immediate effect.”

The letter was copied to Moyo, and the provincial sectetary for administration.

Sibanda is known for publicly supporting President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s 2030 agenda and LMG choir music.

Mudenda during pre-budget seminar sparked controversy when he called for the increase of number of tollgates in Matabeleland North directing Transport and Infrastructural Development minister Felix Mhona to erect five more tollgates and charge trucks more in toll fees.
