Nyandoro appointed Warriors manager

Esrom Nyandoro

Former Warriors midfielder Esrom Nyandoro has reportedly been appointed as the new Zimbabwe national team manager ahead of the Four Nations tournament set for March 23-31 in Botswana.

Nyandoro was recently spotted seated alongside Warriors head coach Marian Marinica and analyst James Makoni during Highlanders 0-0 draw with MWOS at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.

Zifa are yet to officially confirm the appointment, but sources indicate that the former Mamelodi Sundowns captain will be part of the Warriors technical team for the upcoming tournament.

The same sources suggested that Clemence Matawu is no longer part of the technical setup with Nyandoro likely to replace him.

Whether Nyandoro’s role will be permanent or temporary remains unclear.

The Warriors began trooping into camp in Bulawayo on Sunday.
