The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) has announced scheduled maintenance and upgrades for the Electronic Government Procurement (eGP) system from Thursday to Saturday this week.
In a statement, PRAZ said the platform would be temporarily unavailable from 6:30am on May 28 until 6:30am on May 30.
“Electronic Government Procurement eGP System will be temporarily unavailable for a scheduled upgrade and maintenance exercise,” the authority said.
PRAZ warned that users could experience difficulties accessing the platform during the maintenance period.
To minimise disruptions, all tenders initially set to close between May 28 and May 30 will now close on June 2, 2026.
“To address this and ensure fairness to all bidders, all tenders originally scheduled to close during the affected period (28-30 May 2026) will be moved or extended to close on Tuesday, June 2, 2026,” the statement read.
The authority said the extension was meant to ensure bidders had adequate time to complete and submit tender documents while maintaining transparency, equity and equal opportunity in the procurement process.
“We fully understand that this downtime may cause significant inconvenience to ongoing procurement activities, particularly for those preparing or submitting tenders. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disruption this may cause to your operations,” PRAZ said.
