A 39-year-old Bulawayo man linked to 26kgs of dagga recovered from a cross-border truck has been acquitted.

Prosecutor Mufaro Ndirayire told the court that on July 25, 2026, detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics in Beitbridge intercepted cross-border driver Thulani Ndiweni at Beitbridge Border Post and recovered a bag containing dagga.
The driver implicated Manzini as the owner of the contraband although the latter was not at the scene.
The court heard that Manzini was then lured to the scene after being contacted by the truck driver, leading to his arrest.
