MASVINGO, SEPT 18, (SOUTHERN EYE LIVE): Police in Masvingo have arrested two men in connection with a stock theft case in Chikombedzi, Masvingo, leading to the recovery of 22 stolen cattle.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Support Unit members were on a motorised patrol on September 17, 2026, when they intercepted a 30-tonne truck carrying the cattle in the Malipati area.
"Police arrested Reason Chitemela (46) and Collin Mbirimi (52), who were travelling in the truck. The arrest led to the recovery of 22 stolen cattle,” police said.
Police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and continue providing information that could assist in combating stock theft and other crimes.
