Warriors and Aris Thessaloniki forward Tinotenda Kadewere has been ruled out for three weeks after suffering an injury while playing for his Greek club.
Kadewere picked up the injury over the weekend during a league match for Aris Thessaloniki.
A scan has since confirmed the extent of the injury, with his camp confirming that “he will be out for three weeks.”
The setback means Kadewere will miss the Warriors’ upcoming Afcon qualifiers against Sierra Leone and DRC Congo.
The forward had initially been included in new Warriors coach Ramon Catala’s squad for the two crucial fixtures.
Meanwhile, Warriors late additions Washington Navaya and Leeroy Mavunga are set to miss Thursday’s Afcon qualifier against Sierra Leone in Morocco due to visa complications.
The duo will instead join the rest of the squad in Zimbabwe on Friday ahead of the Warriors’ clash against a star-studded DRC Congo at the National Sports Stadium on Monday.
Navaya and Mavunga did not travel to Morocco as the visa processing and subsequent travel would take time, leaving them with little or no opportunity to train with the team before Thursday’s match.
