A Chinhoyi man has been sentenced to five months in prison for masquarading as a Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) officer.Ashley Chulungu was sentenced by Gweru magistrate Arafat Kozanai on Wednesday following his arrest at a police roadblock the previous day. The court heard that Chulungu was stopped at a police roadblock in Gweru and found in possession of handcuffs and a Zimbabwe National Anti-Corruption Organisation (ZANACO) identification card. During interrogation, Chulungu claimed to be a ZACC officer. Police immediately contacted ZACC officers who rushed to the scene and discovered that Chilungu was just a ZANACO informer.
