HIGHLANDERS will have to wait a little longer for new coach Thabo Senong to get his work permit as the Immigration Department indicated the process to clear the gaffer will take two weeks.
Before the South African gaffer is cleared to work in Zimbabwe, assistant coach Mkhokheli Dube is holding the reins.
Club chief executive officer Denzil Mnkandla yesterday said they are hopeful Senong will get his work permit as their application to Immigration was successful.
“Senong arrived in the country last week and was told to return to South Africa,” Mnkandla said.
“The Immigration process takes two weeks and we are just waiting for that period.
“We will probably start making inquiries with Immigration.
“We are positive because our application was successful and we are hoping that the permit comes out and Senong starts work.
“In his absence Mkhokheli (Dube) is in charge.”
