It never rains but pours for struggling Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side TelOne FC. The WiFi Boys have been dealt a massive blow ahead of their crucial fixture against Hunters FC at The Heart Stadium in Harare this weekend, following the double suspension of defender Allan Chapinduka and forward Prince Milanzi.
The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League confirmed the five player suspensions ahead of Matchday 14, with TelOne numerically being the hardest hit—a double headache their technical team must urgently manage as they fight for survival.
TelOne have managed just one win in the league after 13 matches, sitting precariously in 17th place in the 18-team log with a poultry 7 points.
The club recently parted ways with coach Herbert Maruwa following a disastrous start to the campaign—a stark contrast to the side that finished an impressive fifth last year. However, little has changed under his replacement, Saul Chaminuka.
The new gaffer has won just one of his four games in charge, drawing once and losing twice, including a damaging 2-1 defeat to an equally struggling Manica Diamonds last weekend.
Meanwhile, Dynamos FC have also been dealt a dampening blow to their returning momentum. exciting young fullback Anotidaishe Gwatidzo has been ruled out, despite the Glamour Boys rediscovering their form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Triangle FC in their last outing.
The emphatic win will have lifted spirits enormously at Dynamos, signalling that the tide may finally be turning for a side that had endured a wretched run of results.
However, the suspension of Gwatidzo threatens to disrupt the rhythm and balance that helped produce such a convincing performance against Triangle.

The player's contribution to DeMbare's engine room has been significant, and his absence could not have come at a worse time as the Glamour Boys look to build consecutive wins and climb up from sixth place. For Dynamos, the 3-0 demolition of Triangle has reignited belief that Chazunguza can still mount a serious charge up the table. Losing Gwatidzo, though, means maintaining that momentum just got considerably harder.
Elsewhere, Chicken Inn FC will be without Joseph Tulani for the upcoming round, while Simba Bhora FC lose Nomore Tsabora in what is becoming a frustrating pattern of disciplinary disruptions for the Shamva-based side across successive matchdays.
