Sandy, as she is affectionately known, together with band Intombi Zomqangala, will be part of local acts lined up by the government to provide entertainment during the week-long tourism jamboree.

She told Southern Eye Lifestyle that she was raring to go during the UNWTO assembly evening function, dubbed the Tourism Nite. Sandy vowed to dazzle the international audience gathered for the UNWTO assembly, hoping to land other lucrative contracts as her star continues to shine beyond Zimbabweans borders.

“All I can say is that we have been invited to perform during this well-marketed event and we are ready. We would like to tell Zimbabweans that we will definitely deliver,” she said.

Sandy claimed that her act would be the one to watch, “because we will portray the culture of Zimbabwe as it is, live and undiluted”. “We have been preparing for this function. As a group, we have been working hard. I would like to tell all Zimbabweans that I will present the Zimbabwean culture through dance and my music. Our wish is to make sure that our visitors really get see our culture as it is through our dance and music.”

A few weeks ago she performed at the resort town at the UNWTO golf tournament where she left her audience asking for more.
