The club is expected to submit the list of players who will be in the team that will fight it out with other African clubs in the competition next year by Sunday.

Nkomo yesterday told Southern Eye Sport that they were happy with the present team.

“Generally the team did very well so we do not feel that it is necessary to have a complete overhaul as we prepare to play in the Confederations Cup. We just want to build on the team that we have.

“If we are to make additions it will be one or two players. I am not at liberty to discuss the names of the players we want. We need to finalise our list within the timeframe we are now under pressure. The deadline for submission of our team is December 15,” he said.

How Mine defied all odds in the PSL this season qualifying for the final of the Mbada Diamonds Cup in only their maiden appearance in the premiership.

However, they lost 3-0 in the final against Highlanders, but secured the ticket to represent the country in the Caf competition.

Bosso are ineligible to feature in the competition as they are still serving a three-year suspension.

Nkomo said he could not say much on the preparations as they are yet to map the way forward.

“Once we assembly the squad we will then sit down with the technical team and the players and see how we will work out our programme to prepare for the competition. It will be premature for me to talk about what we expect to do because we are waiting for the draw. We will only get a clearer picture once the draw is out .”
