RAP artiste Pritchard “Teeko” Kasomali is set to host a talent musical show dubbed “Star Open Mic Set” at Bulawayo Theatre on March 1.
In an interview with Southern Eye Lifestlye, Kasomali said the talent show would provide upcoming artistes with an opportunity to showcase their musical skills.
“I have seen a big gap in Bulawayo and have taken the initiative to promote upcoming artistes,” he said.
“It pains me to see people with great talent having no means of building it. I wish to see someone’s dream come true.”
Twenty finalists will be selected by a panel of judges during auditions.
Sarah Mpofu, popularly known as Tashy on a local drama Amakorokoza and Naboth Rizla from De-Grape-Vine will be the judges.
The competition is free to all and will not focus on any particular genre of music.
The winner of the competition will have a chance to get an album recorded.
