Highlanders have added another Warriors player into camp with midfield sensation Kudakwashe Mahachi training with the Bulawayo giants today, ending speculation on his next move before he joins South African side Mamelodi Sundowns in June.
Club chairman Peter Dube confirmed that the player trained with Bosso, but said negotiations for the player were still going on.
“There are negotiations and arrangements that are taking place for the player. Hopefully they will materialise. However we would rather you speak to the people that are helping us with the negotiations,” Dube said.
His manager Mlungisi Moyo said no official communication had been received from Sundowns, “but if Mahachi is training with Highlanders, it means it’s the club that he prefers”.
“What I can confirm is that he has signed for Sundowns and we are still working on his loan. But I heard that he trained with Highlanders this morning. Chicken Inn have also been in negotiation but we have not received any communication from Sundowns. Once we receive formal communication from Sundowns, we will let you know,” Moyo said.
