This follows reports that some of the donations were being diverted, leaving out the intended beneficiaries stranded.

Speaking at the handover of various goods worth more than $60 million donated by platinum mining company Mimosa in Harare yesterday, Chidhakwa said all the goods should be channelled to the intended beneficiaries.

“We want goods to go where they are supposed to go. If we do that, we would have pleased the President (Robert Mugabe) and the Senior minister (Simon Khaya-Moyo),” Chidhakwa said.
