Dliwayo takes over from Gladys Utete whose executive quit before the end of their term.

Dliwayo confirmed to Southern Eye that they had since taken over as an executive but said he could only give more details on Monday.

“There was no election as we all stood unopposed. There are four people who have been confirmed and these are Thembelani Dliwayo the chairman, P Chitura who is the vice chairperson, N Nyathi and S Dube who are board members. At the moment I can not say more but can give you more details on Monday,” he said.

Patience Chitura, Sizolwethu Dube and Nkosiyabo Nyathi take over as vice chairperson and board members respectively.

Bulawayo province failed to have league games last year as only one member of the executive was left to run the league.

The league has always cited financial and sponsorship woes as the major reason why they have failed to develop women’s soccer in the province.
