FORMER Bulawayo deputy mayor and veteran politician Alderman Charles Mpofu has died.
Mpofu died last night at a local hospital after succumbing to injuries sustained in car accident.
Close families members told Southern Eye Mpofu, former Bulawayo deputy mayor, had accompanied a relative on Saturday to Emganwini suburb for a traditional marriage ceremony when the car he was in was crushed by a lorry laden with sand.
