The Voice newspaper reported that Dube (37) pleaded not guilty to the charge of sexually defiling the minor when he appeared in court.

Dube, who was known as “TK” of Zone 5 at the Dukwi Refugee Camp 180km north-west of Francistown, allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the under-aged girl at Kutamogore village, just a few kilometres from Dukwi on October 18 2013.

Dube allegedly enticed the 15-year-old girl into having sex with him on several occasions until he was finally nabbed with her in the bush in October last year .

For the State, Inspector Oteng Selalame of Dukwi Police Station did not object to Dube being granted conditional bail.

Selalame told the court that Dube was a registered refugee who would not run away.

Dube was then granted a P500 bail and remanded out of custody.
