WINNERS of this year’s edition of the Bob 90 Super Cup between Dynamos and Highlanders will pocket $45 000 with runners-up taking home $25 000.
Harare City, who were beaten 2-1 by Highlanders are already guaranteed $10 000. This is a sharp drop from last season’s edition where winners ended up getting $100 000 while losing finalists got $70 000.
The tournament’s spokesperson Charles Mabika yesterday said they would also look into individual accolades that are not included in the $80 000 total package.
“We would have loved to go a notch higher than last year, but the market is challenging,” Mabika said.
“All the same what is at stake this time around is still handsome. We communicated to the clubs and they are satisfied. They showed more commitment and have illustrated that it is not about money, but celebrating the president’s birthday,” he said.
