JOHANNESBURG — Two Zimbabwean nationals accused of possession of illegal explosives appeared in the Musina Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Friday.

Victor Chaikambure (33) and Nicholas Mhlanga (34) would be back in court on Thursday for a formal bail application, said police spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi.

The men were arrested on Thursday afternoon while driving along Le Hellco Street.

“Upon searching the vehicle, police found eight capped fuse detonators and eight blasting cartridges stashed behind the driver’s seat,” Mulaudzi said.

Chikambure, who was driving at the time, claimed ownership of the explosives and the men were arrested on the spot.
