Macheso, Allan Chimbetu set for Bulawayo gig

Macheso — the Madhawu hitmaker — is billed to showcase his dance known as dhayamani which come hard on the heels of the popular zora butter.

Macheso is known for his successful dances that include borrowdale, razor wire, and slow motion, tora bute, yambongo and kocheka.

The sungura ace, will be backed by his new-look band Orchestra Mberikwazvo, while Allan Chimbetu with his Orchestra Dendera Kings is also expected to delight revellers with fancy dance footwork.

The show will kick off at 8pm until the wee hours of Saturday.

Speaking to Southern Eye Lifestyle Tafadzwa Maridadi said Bulawayo fans have been clamouring for Macheso to come and dish his upcoming offering Zvaazvinhu which was released late last year.

“Bulawayo fans have been asking for the king of sungura to come and give them a taste of his hit Zvaazvinhu. He will be joined back-to-back by Allan Chimbetu who mesmerised the fans last week and managed to fit well in Sulumani’s shoes representing the country in Zambia,” he said.

He said Chimbetu would showcase the new y tjukutja dance which got him a crown in Bulawayo.
