Gaths Mine were the big winners in the opening week thumping Chomumvuri 5-1 away from home, but failed to replicate that away form at home.

The weekend results propelled Chrome Stars to second position following their opening 1-0 win over Blanket Mine. They are behind Tongogara who have a superior goal difference following their 1-0 win over Nkayi United last week and this weekend’s 2-0 win over Chomumvuri FC.

Town United’s participation in the Central League this season still hangs in the balance after they failed to fulfill their home fixture against Nkayi United who were awarded a 3-0 aggregate win. The Midlands State University played a 1-1 draw with visiting FC Platinum Under-19.

WhaWha hosted Gweru City and the two shared the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw.

Vumbachikwe hosted Silo United and produced another 1-1 draw. ZRP Beitbridge failed to utilise home advantage succumbing to a 2-4 defeat at the hands of Blanket Mine.
