THE Jaiva Njengomuntu Olemali hit-maker Mbekezeli Mpofu, aka PoZee, has dropped the much-anticipated official music video for his wave-making single Abantwana BeZim-Zim and is set for a grand premiere next weekend.

The kwaito impressario made a comeback last year after an indefinite sabbatical from showbiz and since then he has been on top of his game releasing scintillating jams such as High Than Number One which he did with Willis Watafi.

The Kasi-No-Valo record founder told Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday the video will be launched at Bulawayo’s Cape to Cairo on June 21 before being launched in Harare on June 26.

The musician who made a breakthrough in kwaito with his Jaiva Njengomuntu Olemali single is confident the video — produced by Andy Cutter — will mesmerise music followers from all walks of life.

“It’s a top-notch production far better than all the videos that I have produced so far,” the dreadlocked musician quipped rather boastfully.

Judging from the rave reviews the song received when it was first played on ZiFM stereo two months ago, the video is likely to match the waves caused by the track which features Harare upcoming artiste Stach, born Shaun Chitsiga.

PoZee was happy that he collaborated with a Harare-based artiste, revealing the partnership was a positive move especially considering the natural bad blood between artistes from the two big cities.

“I am happy because it is one of those few instances that a Bulawayo artiste collaborates with one from Harare. I hope the collaboration is going to give us leverage in making a breakthough,” he said.

Although the single produced by sought-after producer Polite Sithole, aka P2 daoh, is sung in typical hardcore kwaito lingo, the music video, PoZee said, is divorced from “ghetto lifestyle” and protrudes a “classic feel”.
