Twaliki is being charged with contravening Section 23 (1) of the Maintenance Act Chapter 5:09.

It was the State’s case that Twaliki was ordered to pay $175 for his two children with ex-wife Bekezela Ncube (27) on April 22. Twaliki failed to comply with the court order and the debt accumulated to $200.

The tall goalminder denied the charges levelled against him saying he had handed the money to Ncube in person while he was in hospital receiving treatment for an injury sustained in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against reigning champions Dynamos in May.

However, Ncube denied receiving the money and told the court that she never visited Twaliki in hospital as they were no longer in good books.
