The red carpet event to celebrate Zima nominees from Bulawayo started at 8pm and was graced by the who’s who of the city’s entertainment industry.

Music producers, promoters, artistes and fans from around the country turned up in numbers to support the 11 artistes nominated for the prestigious awards set for next sunday in Harare.

DJs Crazy Black and Big Dee kept the party lovers on their feet the entire night with latest tunes, while hosts Mbo Mahocs and DJ Joe Tha Og were on top of their game.

The opening act Allaina, of the Juice Box fame, took to the stage clad in a black and white dress with lips painted black.

She churned the hit song nominated for the Zima best video award much to the delight of her fans.

Her act was followed by KLAPP Entertainment with the hip-hop song Things Are Falling Apart. Exmile, Mbo Mahocs and Zet also took to the stage.

To wrap up the performances, house music group Amigos rocked the house with the song Hlanyisu Moya. Lead singer Qeqeshiwe Mntambo stole the show with her energetic dance routines.
