Faith Mucha, a sizzling lead vocalist with ZimPraise is billed for a maiden live concert on Sunday at the Wealthy Word International Church in Bulawayo after successful auditions to join the locally celebrated gospel ensemble early this year.
Different gospel groups and artists have been invited to grace this event which comes at the end of the Wealthy Word Conference that started on Thursday.
Among the performing groups will be the Wealthy Word Choir, Crème Voices, Destiny Praise and Garments of Worship.
Talking with Woza Weekend about her nomination into ZimPraise, Mucha said she was humbled and yet so excited to be part of such a group. She attributed her success to the grace that the Almighty has bestowed on her.
Mucha shrugged-off stiff competition from almost 200 contestants during the ZimPraise auditions earlier this year to be one of the singers to be selected into the gospel group. She features on the latest video called Revelation 2014 and leads the song UJesu Wami Uyaphila.
Mucha grew up in Mzilikazi and defied all odds by proving that success is not about where you come from or family background, but the latent potential that God has given to every individual.
She leads praise and worship in church. She said pastor Judge Dube who is also founder and senior pastor at Wealthy Word International Ministries, has had great input in her success by providing a platform and encouragement.
The concert will start at 2pm till late on Sunday at the Wealthy Word International Church.
Organisers of the concert said all gospel lovers are invited to a “free treat of quality gospel music”.
