The gig is slated for Stop Over Bar along George Silundika Street and organisers said the party was meant to celebrate the Bulawayo music industry by promoting local DJs and musicians.

DJ Spiri’s told Southern Eye Lifestyle that Saturday’s night’s gig would provide an open platform for local artistes to showcase their talents.

“The Big Tent House Party is back due to public demand and a lot of people seem to like it because it caters for everyone,” he said.

“This time we have grown and there will be a lot of giveaway prizes to revellers as it’s the festive season and we are in a sharing mood. Free booze and T-shirts will be given to lucky guests. Local DJs and hip-hop artistes will also entertain revellers on the day.”

DJ Spiri’s thanked fans for supporting local DJs and affording him an opportunity to learn about the Bulawayo music industry.

“So far this year I have learnt a lot, especially how the local music industry works,” he said.

“At first I was clueless, but now I know a lot. Being a young promoter is very difficult, but through faith I am getting there. Some music lovers criticise me, but I won’t stop working until my dreams come true.”

DJs Brizzy, The IV and Tawaz, among others, are part of the line-up that is set to entertain what is expected to be a full house as revellers unwind after going through yet another challenging year.

DJ Spiri’s also revealed that he had concluded a few deals with his partners in South Africa who would be attending Saturday’s house party.

DJ Spiri’s studied music production, sound and engineering at the DJ Mix Club in South Africa.
