Last season Hwange retained most of the 2013 season players and Dube said they were hoping most of them would be with them for next year.

“We will retain most of the players that we had this year. Although we might make plans for next season, we need to be aware that there are some players that could leave or some are making plans to leave,” he said.

Hwange players include David Boriwondo, Gerald Ndlovu, Evans Rusike, Rodwell Chinyengetere, Timothy Sibanda, Farai Vimisai and Nkosana Siwela.

Dube said there were a few issues that they have to sort out as a club and that the issues which he did not wish to mention played a part in their performance last season.

Chipangano finished the season on position seven after a good start which saw them at some point topping the standings.

They finished with 42 points from 11 wins and nine draws.

“If you saw our performance towards the end of the season you would realise that there were a few issues that we were going through. I cannot put the blame solely on the players for their performance towards the end of the season, but there were things that were not right at the club,” he said.

He said they have to sort out what hurt them as a club.

“Next season we will also include a number of young players in the senior team. There are a number of these players that I have identified that could be part of the team next season,” Dube said.

In 2013 Hwange finished the season on ninth position and survived the chop.
