Without divulging details of the contracts that the players have signed, club chairman Lifa Ncube yesterday confirmed they had signed Dephistara who was axed by Bosso, and Chiredzi FC striker David Temwanjira.

“Mkhokheli (Dube) and (Canaan) Nkomo have extended their stay with us while we have signed David Temwanjira and Tapiwa Dephistara,” he said.

“We have also promoted five players from our junior ranks in addition to Mitchelle Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare. That will be enough for Chicken Inn.”

The deals were handled by Mlungisi Moyo who is now the Chicken Inn treasurer.

Goalkeeper Wandile Ndlovu joins Elvis Chipezeze and Pride Zendera while promoted juniors are Amos Ncube, Thulani Nxusani, Musa Phiri, Tambudzai Ngulube and Brighton Manhire.

Katsvairo joins Chicken Inn from FC Platinum with Chirambadare coming from Tsholotsho FC.

The GameCocks released Ramson Zhuwao, Charles Mutero, Tonderai Charles, Last Chibwiro and goalkeeper Bhekimpilo Ncube, but retained most of their players from last year and started pre-season preparations on Tuesday at Hartsfield Rugby Ground.

Coach Joey Antipas was expected to join them yesterday.
