Mathe yesterday confirmed that his children were admitted at Mpilo Central Hospital.
“They were involved in an accident on Monday,” he said.
“Denzel had a cut in the head and his hand was injured, but he is up and about now. Darren is still being monitored at Mpilo. He sustained elbow and shoulder injuries.”
Mathe said both Denzel (14) and Darren (7) were recovering.
“We thank God that they are doing well,” he said.
Mathe is former Highlanders coach whose contract ended in December 2014 and was not renewed by Highlanders. Bongani Mafu has since taken over from him.
