Girlie Marongwe of 35 Malvern Road, Lundi Park, Gweru, grabbed her sister Ashley by the neck after she refused to be sent to the shops in Senga.
Gweru magistrate Judith Taruvinga slapped Marongwe with a wholly suspended two-month jail term for the offence.
The State’s case was that on January 15 this year, Marongwe sent her younger sister Ashley to Chirandu business centre in Senga while she went to a nearby bar.
At around 7:30pm Marongwe returned from the bar and found out that her sister had not followed her instructions after their mother had prohibited Ashley from going to the shops.
Out of fury, Marongwe pounced on Ashley’s neck accusing her of “being a prostitute’s child”.
A report was made to the police, leading to the arrest of the accused person.
