Benson told Woza Weekend that the DVD was a documentary about his life.

“We recently finished shooting my DVD, which explains my life journey; how I do it on stage. It is more like a documentary and people should get it as soon as it is available,” he said.

Although the DVD was shot in Botswana, Benson said everything else would be done in Zimbabwe.

“The DVD was shot in Botswana two weeks ago, but it is my desire to release it in Zimbabwe first,” he said.

Benson’s career started in 2003 with the release of his first album titled Tevera Jesu.

“Amid my success in the music industry, the love of music, the love to sing and even to perform has kept me going.”

He became a music producer in 2005 while working at Artisan Studios and Gramma Records in Zimbabwe.

He has worked with some of the best musical talents such as Vee, Slizer (Botswana), Rumbi Z, Makau, Buhle, Sechaba, Dan Tshanda, Cassper Nyovest and Solly Mahlangu, among others.

Benson said his love for music has kept him going over the years.

“Amid my success in the music industry, the love of music, the love to sing and even to perform has kept me going.”

He said those who dream of venturing into the music business should have focus and zeal for the business.

“It’s so simple you know; it needs focus, passion and prayer. If you are a musician or singer, don’t do a lot of things, just focus on what you want and involve God.”

In the pipeline is the release of his latest single titled Mambo, which talks about the supremacy of God and how he defeated Satan.

“I have done my latest single dubbed Mambo. My plan is to release a single and a DVD simultaneously. What is of importance would be my collaboration with Nigeria’s finest, Davido, in August this year,” he said.

“This came about after he heard my song Ambuye, which won the award for song of the year last year in Botswana.”
