“The Astro V2+ is the new product in the market and is the fastest and most advanced smartphone we have ever created. On this smartphone we have set ourselves apart through design and practicality. It comes packed with a 2GB RAM and 1,3Ghz MTK processor which translates to no lag time even if multiple applications are running on the background.

“What’s unique about this new product is that we have a new application MobiNews where we partnered with AMH and its news would be easily accessible in the smartphone,” she said.

Ndlovu said the phone come with second generation corning gorilla glass, one glass solution, meaning the touch screen technology reduces the thickness and weight of the display.

She said the V2+ contains a 13MP camera with f2,0 large aperture for better low light image capturing and a five layer optical lense coupled with super-fast auto-focus technology.

“The V2+ has a purely aesthetic slim body design; the slightly curved back is easy on the hand and allows flawless manoeuvring. The phone’s smooth plastic body and aluminium edges add to grip and aesthetics,” she said.

Ndlovu said the new product caters for everyone since children would have their section where they could get knowledge. She said the new product has a one-stop shop and a Mobi store.

She said the new product is local and would be usable by everyone in Africa to meet unique needs and requirements. The new product is user-friendly with an application for users to access urban grooves music from $0,50 per song.

Ndlovu said the new product would be launched end of month. A lot of people liked the new product at the fair.

Apart from exhibiting mobile phones, Astro Mobile exhibited Astro plasmas and laptops.
