The Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) Matabeleland Chamber has elected Walter Chigwada of Zimplow as new president following the elevation of Busisa Moyo to the national president post recently.

Chigwada is deputised by two vice-presidents, Nomathemba Ndlovu who is the general manager of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company and Mpumelelo Mkhwananzi, who was the vice-president before.

“In light of Busisa Moyo being elected national president of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries, the Matabeleland Chamber of CZI has met and elected Walter Chigwada of Zimplow (Pvt) Limited as the Chamber president,” CZI said in a statement on Wednesday.

Chigwada is the managing director of Mealie Brand, a large agricultural implement engineering and manufacturing business based in Bulawayo.

He holds Masters in animal nutrition from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Agriculture (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe.

Ndlovu holds a BComm and Masters degrees – majoring in marketing – from the National University of Science and Technology.
