Two men from PBS village in Fort Rixon, Matabeleland South, appeared in court last week facing stock theft charges after they allegedly stole two herd of cattle from fellow villagers.
Pilate Tshabalala (48) and Abraham Golintete (37) pleaded not guilty when they appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Takudzwa Gwazemba.
They were remanded in custody for bail hearing.
They face two counts of stock theft.
The court was told that on July 24, Tshabalala and Golintete stole two beasts belonging to Anele Mjinda and Mhlangabezi Mabi respectively.
They allegedly drove the cattle to their plot for their own use.
Mjinda and Mabi noticed that their cattle were missing and filed a police report leading to their arrest.
The stolen beasts could not be located.
