HIGHLANDERS have finally confirmed that midfield star Mongameli Tshuma will join Hardrock on a permanent transfer at the end of the 2026 season, ending weeks of speculation over the player's future.
The Bulawayo giants announced on Thursday that an agreement had been reached with the ambitious Premier Soccer League side, with the transfer taking effect on January 1, 2027.
"Tshuma will remain with Highlanders FC for the remainder of the current football season before officially joining Hardrock FC at the beginning of the 2027 football season," Highlanders said in a statement.
The club added that the 22-year-old midfielder remains fully committed to helping Highlanders achieve their objectives this season.

"Mongameli remains committed and professional in his approach as the club continues to fight to achieve its targets in all the football competitions during this current football season," the statement read.
Although neither club disclosed the financial details of the deal, sources familiar with the negotiations said Hardrock will pay around US$200 000, with Tshuma also set to receive a house as part of his package.
Highlanders are understood to receive US$100 000 from the transfer, while the agreement also includes an unnamed Hardrock player joining Bosso on loan next season.
The confirmation comes days after Highlanders chief executive Kindman Ndlovu had revealed that discussions were ongoing with Hardrock, Caps United, Hunters and South African side Kruger, while insisting no agreement had been signed at the time.
Tshuma has been one of Highlanders' standout performers this season, attracting interest from several clubs with his composed displays in midfield.
The transfer is one of the biggest local deals in recent years and represents another major statement of intent by Hardrock as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the 2027 campaign.
