Brian (24) and Kudakwashe Marizani (33) of Emakhandeni on April 3 allegedly found Hardlife Ndlovu drinking beer at a bottle store in the suburb.

Brian allegedly hit Ndlovu with an empty beer bottle after claiming that Zanu PF supporters were pompous.

The victim allegedly went out of the bar where he met Kudakwashe and appealed to him to restrain his brother.

Brian emerged out of the bar and threw a stone at Ndlovu who was trying to flee but missed him.

Ndlovu dropped his wallet as he tried to flee and Brian picked it up.

He reportedly refused to give back the man his wallet containing $150 and told him to report the matter to the police.

However, Ndlovu was rescued by friends who reported the matter at the Luveve Police Station.

Police officers escorted them back to the bottle store, but Brian was undeterred as he attacked them again. The tormented Zanu PF supporters reportedly ran back to the police station.

Police eventually arrested the Marizani brothers and charged them with assault.

The two were supposed to appear before Bulawayo magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa yesterday, but the case failed to take off because prosecutors were still waiting for the victim’s medical report.
